Route 81 Friday Night Youth Provision

Route 81 Friday Night Youth Provision

Do you think teenagers need somewhere positive, supportive, safe and fun to go on a Friday night and access diversionary activities? We do! Our Youth Sessions and Football Project offer a varied programme including educational workshops, volunteering, skills enabling confidence and social skills to be developed and health and self-esteem to improve. We need funding to employ youth workers to provide a quality service for OUR local young people to keep them safe and realise their POTENTIAL!

Points

179 local young people have a Route 81 membership! Our Youth Sessions attract up to 55 young people per night! In 2017, 75 members gained Saltire Volunteering Awards committing over 4,000 hours to their community; 61 received 1-2-1 support over 365 sessions; 11 gained employment; 96% grew in confidence; 96% improved their health and 99% gained new skills. Please help us to maintain our vital Friday Night Youth Provision which has changed lives!

This is an amazing project and the young people are supported and encouraged to achieve great things, which helps the whole community, and supports them to take their experiences and build on them as young adults. This is an incredibly valued project with wide links.

An amazing project that provides an amazing service to the community! Allows local young people to take part in several different activities and provides a safe environment to do so!

Something for our youth can only ve a great thing

Much needed facility. Helps the young people grow and develop in a caring and supportive environment.

A brilliant project provided by amazing dedicated staff. Garelochhead would be a much poorer community without this Route 81.

Time and time again the residents of Garelochhead have asked for something for young adults to do that is beneficial to both them and their community. This is exactly what Route 81 was set up for. This excellent work needs youth workers to help these young adults develop their talents and self esteem for the benefit of the whole community.

This is an amazing project for young people in our community. Route 81 offers mentoring, supporting, volunteer opportunities, gaining new skills and confidence building. I have seen many young people grow through the project, giving them amazing opportunities and support.

Fantastic facilities for the youth of the whole surrounding areas. route 81 offers our youth a safe and fun environment to learn new skills and gain confidence during the difficult teenage years.

This is a great place for the young adults of Garelochhead and th surrounding areas for our children to go with there friends instead of hang about the streets getting into trouble, my son goes to This and I find it great for him and a way for him to be with other people his own age with lots of different activities to do.
