Grey Matters

Grey Matters

Grey Matters is a social group and Forum for older people living in Helensburgh and Lomond. Over 250 older people have attended since we formed 5 years ago. Not only do we provide a platform for the older voice but we provide much needed company and activities for those who may be socially isolated. We meet on a Saturday when most services stop and we hold regular events and outings during holiday times as this is when loneliness and isolation peaks.

Points

Grey Matters has made such a difference to so many older people in the community. It reduces isolation and people meet new friends. It has given many a reason to get up in the morning and the group has won an Age Scotland Award for their campaigning.

This group has connected older people not only to their community but to each other.

Grey Matters is an amazing award winning group for older people and deserves all support to continue its great work.

Argyll and Bute TSI will hold a drop in help session on Wednesday (10th January) from 10am-12pm and 1-3pm in the Helensburgh office at 14 Colquhoun Square. If you would like help with the stage 2 application pop in and see us (we will have a cuppa and biscuits on hand too...)
