Cobbler Climbers

Cobbler Climbers

To set up a local climbing club for young people in the Arrochar area. They will experience climbing on both indoor walls and local crags to develop their physical as well as their interpersonal skills through climbing in and around the Arrochar Alps. The money would purchase equipment needed to climb safely.

Argyll and Bute TSI will hold a drop in help session on Wednesday (10th January) from 10am-12pm and 1-3pm in the Helensburgh office at 14 Colquhoun Square. If you would like help with the stage 2 application pop in and see us (we will have a cuppa and biscuits on hand too...)

How fantastic to see a junior outdoor climbing club being introduced in the foothills of Arrochar hills an area that so many climbers including the late Ben Humble MBE have used as their spring board before tackling the dizzy heights of the Scottish Munro's.

Since the demise of the Arrochar Outdoor Centre there has been a gap unfilled for youngsters to learn about The Great Outdoors. Here is an opportunity to once again involve them at an early age, in the Arrochar Alps and all they have to offer, most importantly! safely.
